Rocco Mediate is an American professional golfer who has won six PGA Tour events and five Champions Tour events. Here are five fun facts about his personal life:

1. He was born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania and started playing golf at the age of nine.
2. Mediate has won six times on the PGA Tour, including the 1991 Doral-Ryder Open and the 2000 Buick Open when he came from four strokes back to beat Tiger Woods by one stroke in a sudden death playoff.
3. He is also well known for his epic 2008 US Open clash with Tiger Woods which went to 91 holes before finally being decided in favor of Woods in a Monday finish without Mediate ever having held a lead throughout the tournament.
4. Since transitioning to the Champions Tour, he’s won five events including two wins over Jack Nicklaus in tournaments (the 2009 Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf and 2014 Outback Steakhouse Pro Am).
5. Away from golf he is an advocate for youth development programs across America, regularly volunteering his time both on and off the course.
