1. Nicklaus was born in Columbus, Ohio and started playing golf as a ten-year-old at Scioto Country Club.
2. He won 18 major championships throughout his career, including six Masters titles, five PGA Championships, four U.S. Opens and three British Opens – the most of any golfer in history!
3. He also has over 100 professional wins to his name across both the PGA Tour and Champions Tour, which is more than any other professional golfer ever.
4. In addition to being an incredible golfer, Nicklaus was known for his philanthropic work as well – founding various charities such as The First Tee Program and Jack’s Place in order to support youth development programs all over the world.
5. Away from golf he enjoys spending time with his family on their Florida farm where he still plays rounds of golf with friends and family members today.
